Sushanth Gajula is a very vibrant student from the Sai Junior College for the Blind in Hyderabad. Originally from Warangal, Sushanth’s family settled down in Begumpet, Hyderabad. He was born in a village in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. Sushanth’s father, a medical assistant under a private doctor, financially provides for the family of 4. Sushant was born with a defect in his eyes that rendered him blind at a very early age. One of our most dedicated scholars, Sushant received rich plaudits from his mentors for the manner in which he diligently went about preparing for CLAT.
An all-rounder, Sushanth was very active in extracurricular activities like debating, mock United Nations, elocution. He also was one of the toppers in his school in his tenth standard with 9.5 CGPA out of 10. At school, Sushanth loved staying back and spending time with his teachers to debate and discuss what transpired in class each day. During his time in school, Sushant developed a keen interest in political issues and the intricacies and impact of court rulings. Fascinated by what he learnt, he resolved to pursue a legal career. Sushant’s efforts to crack CLAT were aided by the Hyderabad Chapter for whom he reserves much praise. He came to know about IDIA through a sensitisation in his school.
Sushanth loves his law school life! After class hours, Sushanth can often be found organizing ‘blind boys cricket’ and taking part in it himself!
