Kazi Sabina

Kazi Sabina hails from Suri in the Birbhum district of West Bengal and comes from a family that has always valued education despite financial challenges. Her father works as a daily wage labourer, while her mother is employed under the West Bengal Government’s “Prani Mitra” scheme. Sabina began her education at a government school and later secured admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya after successfully clearing the JNVST examination.

At JNV, she received free residential education under the CBSE curriculum, which played a significant role in shaping her academic journey. Like many of her peers, she initially considered preparing for medical entrance examinations such as NEET.

However, as she explored different career options, she discovered a growing interest in law. Fascinated by legal issues, court proceedings, and the role of law in addressing societal challenges, she decided to pursue a legal career.

The path was far from easy. Financial constraints, social expectations, and the challenge of preparing for CLAT without coaching often tested her resolve. There were moments when uncertainty about the future made her question her decision, but she remained determined to pursue her dream.

While searching online for financial assistance and guidance, Sabina came across IDIA. Learning about its mission to support students from underprivileged backgrounds gave her hope. After successfully completing the selection process, she received mentorship, training, and support through IDIA, which strengthened both her preparation and confidence.

Her hard work paid off when she appeared for CLAT 2026 and secured admission to The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata, one of India’s leading law schools. For Sabina, this achievement represents not only personal success but also the beginning of a journey toward making a meaningful contribution through law.

Beyond academics, she enjoys singing and listening to music, which help her stay motivated and balanced. Sabina aspires to become a dedicated legal professional, committed to lifelong learning, growth, and serving society through the law.
