Hailing from the small village of Maitriwara in the Jalore district of Rajasthan, Arvind finished his schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Jalore. When he joined IDIA, his parents were farmers by profession, and his father worked on a small borewell machine during the non-cropping season for making a living for his family.
In his free time, Arvind held tuition classes for his neighbours’ children. Arvind’s performance in CLAT 2015 is a testimony to the resilience of his spirit and determination. He secured an all India category rank of 116, securing a seat in National Law University, Jodhpur.
Arvind takes a keen interest in technology and the law, evidenced by his internships at organisations focusing on tech policy. He received a certificate of appreciation from Google Crowdsource for his contributions to the Rajasthani language. In his free time, Arvind loves to write poetry in Hindi and Urdu!
In his college, he has been a member of the Legal Aid and Awareness Committee, under the Legal Awareness Programs desk. He has also been a member of IDIA Rajasthan Chapter. He has interned with Chambers of Rishabh Sancheti, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, New Delhi; Centre for Internet and Society, Bengaluru and Software Freedom Law Centre, New Delhi.
We have no doubt that he will excel! If his existing commitment to his community is any indication, he is already well on his way towards making a difference within it.
