Shweta hails from Patna, Bihar. Armed with a firm determination and proclivity towards legal education, she has proved that where there is a will there’s a way.
Her father, the sole breadwinner among a family of 5, runs a small business. Their annual income was INR 1,00,000 when she joined IDIA as a Scholar and it failed to fulfil even their basic needs. With such meagre financial resources, it was wildly impossible for Shweta to even think of getting enrolled in a National Law University.
Shweta completed her studies up to 10th standard from the DAV Public School, Patna. She topped her school in her tenth standard by securing a perfect CGPA of 10 out of 10. From her school days, she has been actively participating in several debates, extempore and quiz competitions, and other co- curricular activities, and earning many accolades. She is fond of literature and loves to read.
Shweta finished her twelfth standard from College of Commerce, Arts and Science. A science student, she secured an impressive 83.2 percent in her twelfth exams. Shweta firmly believes that investing time in education is the best investment one can make in life.
As a conscientious young woman, Shweta is moved by the plight of women in our country and hopes to utilise her legal education to bring about some much needed reforms in this sector. She believes that if she succeeds in achieving her goals, she will not succeed alone. An entire generation of women will succeed with her.
Shweta credits her success to the IDIA Bihar chapter. In her words, “the mentors acted as a backbone throughout the entire journey of my CLAT preparations. They are very sensible and humble and they always keep an eye over my each and every need. Their motivating words helped me to keep going.”
