A resident of Jodhpur, Rahul did his schooling at the Netraheen Vikas Sansthan Senior Secondary School in Jodhpur. His father is a factory worker, and the only earning member of the household. When Rahul joined us as a trainee, his father earned around INR 85,000 per year. Neither Rahul’s visual impairment nor financial disadvantage prevented him from translating his dreams into success.
Rahul was trained by IDIA Rajasthan Chapter. He excelled in CLAT 2016 and secured admission at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. In Rahul’s own words, he wants to pursue law to “ensure that speedy and affordable legal aid is made available to all, especially those hailing from lower economic strata”. He also likes reading in his spare time.
In his first year, he has interned with Advocate Ashok Changhani at the Rajasthan High Court and at Naya Sawera, an NGO in Jodhpur. He has also interned at Purohit Law Associates. In addition to his passion for law, Rahul enjoys singing, playing chess, and listening to music. He also avidly follows political developments within the country.
