Hailing from Bokaro in Jharkhand, Rohit’s family later moved to Kaushambi (NCR) and he completed his schooling in Delhi. He has grown up amidst many financial difficulties. His mother is household cook. His father works as Peon, Central Water Commission.
Rohit came to know about law as a career, and about IDIA through his mother’s employer, who is a lawyer. Rohit was trained by IDIA Delhi Chapter for a year. He was also trained by IDIA’s affiliate partners, IMS and LST.
Rohit worked hard to overcome issues such as language barriers. He secured admission at Amity Law School, affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. He has participated in various co-curricular activities, including volunteering for national moot competitions and participating in legal conferences and training workshops. His internships include those with PETA India (Delhi office), Adv. Abhishek Goyal (Saket District Court, Delhi), and Senior Advocate Sanjay Hegde (Supreme Court).
He aspires to become a litigation lawyer, and make a difference through his legal education.
