Tushant is a Director at IDIA. He completed his B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from National Law University, Odisha in 2017. He worked as a law researcher at the office of Justice Vibhu Bakhru (Delhi High Court) after his graduation for over two years. In 2022, he completed his LLM in public law from SOAS University of London.
At IDIA, Tushant oversees the operations of four State Chapters – Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Nagpur. He also manages the work for IDIA Annual Report and will be in charge of Project Lawgic. Project Lawgic is an initiative to provide access to legal knowledge to school kids from marginalised communities with the help of reading materials and online classes. Tushant’s interest lies in the intersection of tribal rights and environmental justice, and the protection of the autonomy granted to Gram Sabhas under the forest rights regime.
