Vinatoli Yeptho is a WBNUJS graduate. She is a young and dynamic entrepreneur from Dimapur,
Nagaland, India, and the Co-Founder of Hutah Industries. Her start-up, established in 2020, is
revolutionizing the renewable energy sector in Northeast India by focusing on bio-energy solutions.
Currently serving as the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) of the company, Vinatoli is at the forefront of
addressing the environmental impact of traditional energy generation systems in the region.
Hutah Industries is primarily focused on converting bamboo, a sustainable energy crop, into renewable
electricity. Through this work, Vinatoli aims to mitigate the Northeast’s reliance on fossil fuels and
contribute to India’s transition to green, renewable energy. Her company’s landmark Power Purchase
Agreement with the Government of Nagaland for a 10 MW bamboo-based power plant in Dimapur
underscores her commitment to sustainable development.
Vinatoli has also recently completed the Reliance Foundation’s WomenLead India fellowship. Her vision is
to create a zero-carbon, lower-cost energy future, advancing India’s rural sustainable development goals
and helping to build an energy-resilient nation. Passionate about the environment and empowering
indigenous communities, Vinatoli is an inspiring leader driving positive change in India’s renewable
energy landscape.
