Ali Hajveri Ahmed Farooqi

Ali Hajveri hails from Hyderabad, Telangana, where his inclination towards law began during his school years at Central Public High School. What began as fascination transformed into professional ambition, shaped by his admiration for renowned lawyers and leaders who leverage law as an instrument for socio-political change.

Recognizing law as a field offering both purpose and professional versatility, Ali sought rigorous preparation for his legal education. Through the IDIA Hyderabad Chapter, he received structured mentorship and guidance that proved instrumental in his success. His dedication culminated in securing State Rank 13 in TGLAWCET 2023, earning him admission to the prestigious College of Law at Osmania University. This marks a significant milestone in his pursuit of legal excellence, made possible through his determination and IDIA’s support.

Ali’s academic record speaks to his consistency and commitment: 94% in his 10th grade and 90% in his 12th grade at Government City Junior College, Hyderabad. Beyond academics, he has distinguished himself in competitive forums, winning gold medals at state-level elocution competitions and excelling in debates and quizzes. Currently, he actively participates in National moot courts, trial advocacy, ADR competitions, national-level essay and debate competitions, and MUN conferences, accomplishing and continuously honing his advocacy and analytical skills.

Ali has gained practical exposure through internships with leading law firms and senior advocates chambers, including AGR Advisors LLP, BeIN Legal, and the Chambers of Senior Advocates Mr. Ravi S. and Mr. Krishna Grandhi at the High Court of Telangana. These experiences have immersed him in corporate structuring, cross-border transactions, emerging technology regulation, and high-stakes commercial litigation. He has also worked as a Research Assistant at the DPIIT-IPR Chair at NUSRL Ranchi, deepening his understanding of intellectual property policy frameworks. Additionally, Ali completed an internship at the International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC) in Hyderabad, where he explored the evolving landscape of alternative dispute resolution in India. In September 2024, Ali was selected as a mentee for Meta’s APAC Legal Mentorship Programme from India, an opportunity that offered him invaluable insights into how global technology conglomerates navigate legal challenges across Asia-Pacific markets.

His legal interests are inclined towards Capital Markets, IPR and Commercial Litigation, areas where he sees substantial scope for contributing to India’s evolving legal landscape. Underscoring his aptitude for commercial law, he recently secured the 2nd rank among over 400+ participants in the 3rd National Article Writing Competition on Capital Markets, 2026. His winning article will be published in the esteemed Journal on Corporate Laws and Commercial Regulations. Beyond practice-oriented work, Ali maintains active research interests in Socio-legal, Intellectual property and technology law. He has also published on lacunas of semiconductor policy and IP frameworks in India, examining how legal systems respond to the commercial realities of technological advancement.

Ali’s pursuits extend to literature, particularly Urdu poetry and English fiction, which enrich his perspective and strengthen his communication abilities. He envisions his legal career as an opportunity to drive meaningful change while exploring the diverse opportunities the field offers. He is determined to make a substantive contribution to the legal profession and society at large.
