Aparna Suresh Amnekar comes from the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Unfortunately, she lost her father at an early age and her mother then took on the responsibility of managing the household, being the only earning member in the family. Despite facing difficulties, Aparna was determined to pursue law and she worked really hard to prepare for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) under the training and mentorship of IDIA Mumbai Chapter. Aparna also appeared for the Maharashtra CET – Law and secured admission in Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai in 2017. She came across IDIA in her 11th standard through Vayunandan Charitable Trust from Nagpur and got selected as a trainee. She says, “While preparing for CLAT, the learning experience was amazing, both with IDIA and IMS. CLAT was a big deal for me as the subjects were new and totally different, but through the right mentorship, I prepared for it pretty well.”
Aparna plans to enter the judiciary in the long run but currently, she wishes to explore the field to determine her interests. She is currently studying at GLC, Mumbai and has been actively participating in various activities of the college. She had also been contributing to the IDIA Mumbai team and was always willing to take up work. She is also active through sports. In particular, she enjoys football, and has represented her college at a variety of inter-university fests. She has interned with Centre for Social Justice, King Stubb, Kasiva Law firm, and Integreon Managed Solutions (India) Private Limited.
With her positive approach towards things and dedication towards what she is doing, Aparna has a bright future ahead of her.
