Sajjan hails from Virol, a village in Jalore district of Rajasthan. His father is a farmer, and his mother is a homemaker. Their family of eight was supported by an annual family income of just INR 60,000 when Sajjan joined us as a trainee.
Sajjan is a very sincere and hardworking student, who has performed well academically despite many adversities. He completed his schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Jaswantpura, a village in Jalore. In spite of financial and other difficulties, he scored 83.6% in his 12th standard examinations (science stream). He not only performed well academically, but also participated in regional level badminton competitions.
Sajjan was introduced to IDIA when a sensitisation session was conducted in his school by the IDIA Rajasthan Chapter. He was trained by the IDIA Rajasthan Chapter for one year for law entrance examinations. His hard work and perseverance paid off as he secured a seat at Institute of Law, Nirma University (ILNU).
Sajjan has been taking part in many co-curricular activities. His internships include those with Assentio Legal, Chennai and Akhil Modi and Associates, Advocates and Solicitors, Jaipur. He has been a research assistant at Centre for Corporate Law Studies, Institute of Law, Nirma University. He has also been a team member of IDIA Nirma Chapter.
Sajjan aspires to become a litigation lawyer, and is particularly interested in criminal law as it would help him contribute to the society.
He is also an avid reader, and enjoys playing badminton and other indoor games.
