Madipelly Rithish hails from Shekalla village near Jagtial district in Telangana. Visually impaired since birth, he completed his schooling at Devnar School for the Blind, Hyderabad.
A bright student, Rithish secured 88% in his 10th standard and 76% in his 12th standard under the Telangana State Board. His parents are farmers, and he has two brothers—one working in the private sector and the other pursuing an engineering degree.
Rithish’s motivation to pursue law stems from a personal experience. When he was in the 9th standard, he needed to obtain a disability certificate. Despite being fully eligible, he was asked to pay a bribe to receive it. This incident made him realize the importance of knowing one’s rights and the power of the law in enforcing them. Determined to make a difference, he decided to become a lawyer.
In the 11th standard, a senior from his school introduced him to IDIA. Without hesitation, Rithish reached out and was selected as a trainee under the IDIA Hyderabad chapter. Throughout his preparation, he faced multiple challenges, including internet connectivity issues. However, his perseverance paid off, and he excelled in his studies.
Committed to using his legal knowledge for social impact, Rithish aspires to improve governance in the country. He credits his success to his parents and the IDIA team, who supported and motivated him throughout his journey.
Beyond academics, Rithish enjoys playing cricket as a wicketkeeper and a right-handed batsman. As he reaches the end of his law school journey, he has achieved a significant milestone—securing a pre-placement offer with EY Consulting’s legal team. After graduating, he will soon begin his professional career at EY, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in his life.
