Mala Abhishek

Abhishek is from Koriviched village. He is visually impaired and did most of his schooling in Devnar School for the Blind, Hyderabad. He did his eleventh and twelfth standard studies in Sai Junior College, Hyderabad.

He is an extremely bright student and scored 8.7 CGPA in tenth grade and 73% in twelfth grade from the Telangana State Board. Abhishek comes from a humble background – his father passed away when he was 9 years old. His mother and brother work as daily wage laborers. He got to know about IDIA two years ago and has been preparing with IDIA since then.

Throughout his preparation he was faced with many challenges, especially economic difficulties, despite which he excelled. He wants to take up law as a career to gain knowledge and use that for social service. In the future, he also aims at clearing the civil services examinations.

Abishek enjoys playing chess. He has a positive outlook towards life and is thankful for any opportunities that come along his way. He thanked the IDIA Hyderabad team, his mentor Pooja Bharadwaj, Devnar School Foundation and its chairman Dr. Saibaba Gowd, for their help and support during the CLAT preparation.
