Swabhiman Jayant Patil comes from a small village, Kurdu, in the Solapur district of Maharashtra. His parents and elder sister constitute his small family. His father is a farmer and his mother, a homemaker. His father actively engages in social activities and is an organiser of Sarpanches in Maharashtra. His sister recently graduated with a degree in BSc. His family understands the importance of education. They even moved to Pune for a brighter future for their children.
Swabhiman excelled in his 10th standard board examination with a score of 90%. He came across IDIA through a sensitisation conducted by IDIA volunteers at the Fergusson College, Pune where he was studying. IDIA talked about law as a career and the legal profession in the session.
Swabhiman became interested in pursuing law and was selected as an IDIA Trainee after qualifying in the IDIA National Aptitude Test and the interviews conducted by IDIA. Never the one to pass opportunities, he gave his best to get into the IDIA training program with the hopes of achieving his dreams.
Strongly determined to become a lawyer, he wishes to work towards fighting injustice, and towards the betterment of society. He was motivated by reading about the great lawyers from India and their impact on society.
Swabhiman prepared diligently for the law entrance exams. From reading newspapers every day without fail to solving more than 80 mock tests, he left no stone unturned. As an IDIA Trainee, he was a dedicated, punctual, and curious student who would give his best in everything. We helped him by training him rigorously through personal classes, revision classes, mocks, and tests. We regularly cleared all his doubts and analysed his results in the mock tests with him.
His hard work bore fruit when he was selected at a top NLU. He has carried on his dedication towards his call to law school and is a hard-working student.
