Aditya Pratap Singh: (GNLU, Gujarat)

Aditya Pratap Singh, a determined and ambitious young man from Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, embodies resilience and intellectual curiosity. Born to a farmer father and a teacher mother, he grew up with strong values of diligence and learning. While his academic record was modest, his true passion lay in public speaking, debates, and stage hosting—skills that would later shape his journey in law.

His transformative journey began when he cleared the Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance test in 5th grade, securing government-funded education from 6th to 12th grade. This opportunity exposed him to prestigious events like Pariksha Pe Charcha, which deepened his interest in political science and constitutional studies.

In 9th and 10th grades, Aditya discovered the CLAT exam, aligning perfectly with his aspirations. However, financial challenges threatened to derail his dream. IDIA became a turning point in his life, providing the support and courage he needed to pursue legal education. Without IDIA’s assistance, the path to law school might have remained uncertain for him.

Currently studying law, Aditya is deeply engaged in the intersection of law, economics, and social justice. As a member of the GNLU Centre for Law and Economics and the Kautilya Society GNLU Chapter, he actively participates in legal research and policy discussions. His exceptional advocacy skills earned him the Best Parliamentarian award at the Youth Parliament, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (January 2025).

Aditya has gained hands-on experience through internships with Advocate Anand Patwardhan, A&A Law in Mumbai, and the Centre for Social Justice in Ahmedabad. His work in consumer law, legal drafting, case research, and social justice initiatives has reinforced his passion for impactful legal and policy-driven initiatives.

With a keen interest in legal research, public policy, and advocacy, Aditya is committed to using his legal knowledge to drive meaningful change. His journey stands as a testament to perseverance, familial support, and the transformative power of education and mentorship.
