Golla Bhanu Prakash (NLU, Jodhpur)

Bhanu Prakash’s journey from the village of Nijavalli in Ananthapur District, Andhra Pradesh, to pursuing a BA.LLB degree is marked by determination, resilience, and a commitment to serving his community. Born to a farming family, Bhanu Prakash’s parents, despite lacking formal education themselves, recognize the value of education and have dedicated their efforts to support their children’s academic pursuits.

Bhanu Prakash completed his schooling at Andhra Pradesh Residential School, Kodigenahalli, designed for economically disadvantaged students. His educational journey continued at Sri Amogha Junior College in Hyderabad, where he achieved an impressive 83% in the 12th-grade boards. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of inadequate facilities in villages, Bhanu Prakash aspires to become a civil servant to address and rectify such issues.

Motivated by the goal of serving his community, Bhanu Prakash chose to pursue a BA.LLB degree, viewing it as a pathway to acquiring knowledge and a voice to advocate for change. His journey with IDIA began after his first CLAT experience at NALSAR University of Law, where interactions with fellow students led to the discovery of the organization. Relocating to Bangalore for CLAT preparation with IDIA’s support, Bhanu Prakash faced challenges with English proficiency, a crucial aspect of law entrance examinations. The IDIA mentors played a pivotal role in enhancing his English skills, implementing communication in English during classes, recommending resources, and facilitating comprehensive topic tests. Grateful for the guidance received, Bhanu Prakash acknowledges the support of all the mentors at IDIA, particularly expressing gratitude to Arushi and Priyanshi from the Karnataka IDIA Chapter.

Looking ahead, Bhanu Prakash aspires to become an IAS officer, driven by a commitment to public service. His achievements in badminton at the district level, winning first prize in Telugu essay writing at the district level with state-level participation, and his passion for reading books reflect a multifaceted individual poised to make a positive impact on society. Bhanu Prakash’s story exemplifies the transformative power of education and the potential for individuals to create meaningful change in their communities.
