Gordhani, an IDIA Scholar from the 2026 batch, is currently pursuing her B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Hailing from a small town in Rajasthan’s Karauli district, her journey is a story of resilience, determination, and the courage to dream beyond conventional expectations.
She completed her education up to Class 10 in a Hindi medium government school under the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education. Later, she joined Kendriya Vidyalaya, Karauli, where she pursued Classes 11 and 12 in the Biology stream. Moving from a Hindi medium background to an English medium environment was challenging, but it strengthened her confidence and determination to excel.
As a first-generation law student, Gordhani had limited exposure to the legal profession while growing up. Her journey took a significant turn when she became associated with IDIA. Through the mentorship, academic guidance, and constant support of IDIA volunteers, she prepared for CLAT and secured admission to NALSAR, transforming a dream that once seemed distant into reality.
Beyond academics, Gordhani has a deep passion for Hindi poetry and creative writing. During her school years, she performed her original poems on stage and discovered the power of words as a medium of expression. She continues to write poetry and reflections, using them to share her thoughts and observations about society.
Now as a law student at NALSAR, Gordhani is committed to making the most of every opportunity that comes her way. She hopes to grow as a legal professional, a writer, and a socially conscious individual. Her journey serves as an inspiration for many young students, especially girls from small towns, proving that with determination, support, and self-belief, no dream is beyond reach.
