Government Law College, Mumbai
Anshuman hails from Bhind, a small town in Madhya Pradesh. His father is a farmer, and his mother is a homemaker. Anshuman has always had a strong sense of justice and has been fighting for the same from a young age.
He was the school captain and led a student strike against their school administration. The SDM of that area threatened him and his family with dire consequences if Anshuman did not stop the strike. This incident made Anshuman realise the importance of law. He understood that the law will help him fight for justice and against the misuse of power by authorities. When he decided to pursue a career in law, his family supported his decision every step of the way.
He was dedicated towards his goal of studying law. He started researching online and learnt about NLUs and other law colleges. He also researched CLAT and other law entrance examinations. He started preparing for the entrance exams on his own due to the hefty fees charged by the coaching centres. He faced many difficulties due to the complicated English used in the law entrance exams.
Despite these circumstances, Anshuman never lost his determination. He learnt about the Super 30 scholarship by LegalEdge and worked hard to qualify for the same. He was selected and he moved away from his family to live in Bhopal to attend classes and prepare for the law entrance exams.
While he now had support and resources for his preparation, he knew that he would need support during law college as well. He started searching for scholarships to support him during his 5 years of studying law and got to know about IDIA through our website. He was selected as an IDIA Trainee, and we provided him with personalised mentorship for law entrance tests which helped him immensely in cracking MHCET and securing admission at GLC, Mumbai, the top law college under MHCET.
We are sure that Anshuman has the acumen and aptitude to become a top lawyer and community leader. We hope to see his dream of fighting for equality and justice come true.
