Shiv Prakash Shukla

Shiv Prakash Shukla hails from Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh, growing up in a modest household where his father works as a farmer and his mother is a homemaker. His early years were shaped by simplicity, discipline, and the steady rhythm of rural life, beginning his education at a government school in his village.

A turning point came in 2014, when his elder brother secured employment, allowing Shiv to step beyond the boundaries of his village in search of better educational opportunities. This shift opened new doors and set him on a path that would gradually lead him to the field of law.

He completed his higher secondary education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in New Delhi, where he was first introduced to CLAT and the work of IDIA. Inspired by the possibilities that legal education could offer, he enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Delhi in 2021 while preparing for CLAT and seeking support from IDIA. Although he did not clear the examination, the setback did little to shake his resolve.

Persistence became his quiet companion. In 2024, his efforts bore fruit when he secured admission to the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, to pursue the three year LL.B. program.

Along the way, Shiv has built meaningful practical exposure through internships at Suri & Co. and under advocates practicing before the Supreme Court of India. These experiences have strengthened his skills in legal research and drafting, while sharpening his interest in litigation.

Having also cleared the DSLSA Para Legal Volunteer Examination, Shiv is committed to advancing access to justice at the grassroots level. With a grounded sense of purpose and a steady determination, he aspires to build a career in litigation that not only grows professionally but also contributes meaningfully to society.
