Abhishek Johnson, a first-generation lawyer, hails from Palavayal Village in Kasaragod District, Kerala. He has been practicing for the last three years before various courts in Kasaragod District. His family consists of his father, mother, and younger brother. His father runs a shop in his hometown, his mother is a homemaker, and his younger brother has completed his post-graduation. Coming from a supportive family background, he has received constant encouragement to continue as a practicing lawyer throughout his journey, which has made him committed to legal services.
He completed his elementary education at Auxilium School, Varakkad, and subsequently completed his law degree from Government Law College, Ernakulam. He has been actively participating in programmes relating to NGOs and is a socially committed person. Being a first-generation lawyer, he has also faced hurdles in gaining cases and establishing himself in the legal field, which is infamous for nepotism. These challenges have strengthened his commitment to the legal profession and public service. As someone who is concerned about the marginalized community, he believes in the idea of law for all by taking law to every doorstep in the rural areas of Kasaragod.
As Kasaragod is infamous for its tag name as a place for punishment transfer, he is more concerned about the upliftment of his own district in all aspects. He has identified several problems relating to the district, including the lack of proper network connectivity to the district centre, especially from the areas situated in the Western Ghats.
His ultimate aim is to become a lawyer who can create change in society through the effective use of law and by serving the people of his district.
