C P Athul is hailing from Azhikode a village in Kannur, Athul’s journey is rooted in resilience and social purpose. Raised in a humble household by his father, a lottery seller, and his mother, a homemaker, Athul became his family’s sole provider following his father’s severe head injury in early 2026.
Driven by a desire to drive meaningful societal change, Athul pursued law, completing his high school education on a 100% scholarship at Sree Narayana Secondary school higher secondary schooling at Azhikode HSS and excelling in the District Science Fest during higher secondary. He earned his BBA LL.B. (Hons.) from Government Law College, Kozhikode, where he presented academic papers and represented his institution at the National Students Parliament in the Kerala Legislative Assembly. He currently practices as a Junior Advocate under Adv. M. Kishor Kumar and is also actively volunteering with the Legal Services Authority to conduct legal literacy sessions and secure remedies for underprivileged communities.
Athul discovered the IDIA Fellowship through the Junior Lawyers Kerala Whatsapp group . understating the works of IDIA , which reflected on his own journey having lacked awareness of CLAT and National Law Universities until entering law school, he felt deeply aligned with IDIA’s mission as there was no mentors guiding him to such institutions.
Ultimately, Athul aspires to build a distinguished career as a successful lawyer, leveraging his practice to empower underprivileged communities and bridge the gap in legal access.
