Jyothika Benny hails from Kattappana in Kerala’s Idukki district. She completed her B.A. in English (2018–2021) from Pavananma College, Murickassery, followed by her LL.B. (2021–2024) from Al Azhar Law College, Thodupuzha, both affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. She completed her schooling at Ossanam English Medium School, Kattappana, and her higher secondary education at St. George HSS, Kattappana.
Born into a family that values honesty and hard work, Jyothika draws inspiration from her father, a self-employed document writer, and her mother, a homemaker and B.Com graduate. As the elder daughter of the family, she has developed strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and listening skills.
Driven by a passion for litigation, Jyothika believes that the law should be accessible to everyone, especially those who are unaware of their legal rights. She aspires to use her profession not only to represent clients but also to empower financially and socially marginalized communities through legal awareness and advocacy.
During her legal education, she interned with KELSA, K-LAMPS at the Kerala Legislative Assembly, the Excise Office, and the Sub Registrar Office, gaining valuable exposure to different facets of the legal system. She worked as an Associate in a law firm in Thiruvananthapuram, And plans to return to her hometown of Kattappana.
Jyothika’s long-term goal is to establish herself as an independent litigator known for integrity, competence, and service to society. She also hopes to conduct legal awareness sessions for students and communities, while prudently saving her fellowship stipend to lay the foundation for her own law office in the near future.
