Rishi Ravindran

Rishi Ravindran is a first-generation lawyer from Thrissur, Kerala. Raised by his single mother along with his sister, he grew up understanding the value of hard work, resilience and making the most of every opportunity. These experiences continue to shape both his personal and professional life.

He completed his schooling at St. Jude Public School, Sree Ramakrishna Vidyanikethan and Devamatha CMI Public School before pursuing his BBA LL.B. at Sree Narayanaguru College of Legal Studies, Kollam. What drew him to law was the nature of the profession itself. Despite its uncertainties, litigation offered him the chance to constantly learn, take on new challenges and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Rishi has been practising for the past two years as a Junior Associate under Adv. Abhilash A.J. in Thrissur. His work involves appearing before courts across Kerala, including the High Court, and handling matters relating to civil, criminal, family, consumer, arbitration and motor accident laws. Travelling across the State for cases has given him a broader perspective on the legal system and exposed him to the different realities of litigation.

For Rishi, the IDIA Litigation Fellowship is an opportunity to grow beyond the courtroom. The fellowship has already introduced him to new perspectives through its sessions with experienced judges and lawyers, helping him rethink concepts he believed he already understood. Along with the financial support, he sees the fellowship as a platform to become a more capable, thoughtful and socially conscious lawyer, while continuing to build a long-term career in litigation.
