Piyush hails from a small town called Ganj Basoda in the Vidisha district in Madhya Pradesh. His father is a shopkeeper who runs a small general store and his mother is a housemaker. They live in a joint family where the focus is to earn a livelihood rather than studying hard. After his 5 th standard, Piyush moved into Navodaya Vidyalaya, a boarding school till his 12 th standard. He then took a break year to prepare for CLAT and it was then that he came across IDIA. Once he was selected as a trainee, the IDIA Bhopal Chapter worked with him vigorously to help him crack CLAT.

He has always been a determined and hardworking student and scored a whopping 90 percent in his 12 th standard wherein he studied the science subjects. He believes that his hardwork will also see him through law school, though he found it hard to adjust to the unfamiliar environment initially.

After pursuing law, his dream is to put his law degree to use to better the society. In this free time, Piyush indulges in playing various sports like badminton and cricket in college campus. In 2019-20, he got 7 th rank out of 38 teams at 19 th NLIU Annual Fresher’s Moot Pool Competition, (November 2019). He has also participated in other national Moot Court competitions. He volunteered at Kalyan Lakshya Mera
