Anitha K R

Anitha K R is a practicing advocate based in Kottayam, Kerala, with a strong commitment to community service and social justice. She completed her legal education at the School of Indian Legal Thought, Kottayam, and secured 95% in her higher secondary studies at CMS College Higher Secondary School. 

Her interest in public service began early through her work as a Red Cross volunteer and NSS unit leader, where she participated in leadership camps and contributed to Kerala flood relief efforts. She has also served as a paralegal volunteer and worked on schemes supporting marginalized communities, including Vayonomma and Gowardana. 

Alongside her legal and community work, Anitha is a published poet. Her book Thulasikatir features socially reflective writing, including the poem Oru Penkidavinta Kalapam, written in response to the Delhi rape case. She has earned recognition in several competitions, including the National Human Rights Commission essay competition, the ISRO essay competition, and state-level story writing contests. 

Fluent in English, Malayalam, and Hindi, Anitha continues to build her practice with a focus on access to justice and empowerment of marginalized communities.
