K. Devika is a practicing advocate at the Kollam District Court, working under the mentorship of Senior Counsel Adv. R. Sreeraj. She completed her BBA LLB from Sree Narayana Guru College of Legal Studies, Kollam, graduating in 2021.
After completing her degree, she undertook a six-month internship with Adv. Preethi G. Nair, a member of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) panel. This experience introduced her to legal aid processes and deepened her understanding of barriers faced by individuals who cannot afford legal representation.
In 2022, she began her LL.M at the Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod. Alongside her studies, she continued courtroom practice and handled several matters, many of them pro bono, reinforcing her commitment to accessible justice.
During her postgraduate studies, she was selected by DLSA Wayanad to mentor SC/ST students preparing for the Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE). She also contributed to a three-day legal awareness programme for women from marginalized communities.
Devika now practices full-time in Kollam, appearing in civil matters, family disputes, and cases involving women and child rights, while continuing to support vulnerable individuals through pro bono work. Her areas of interest include legal aid advocacy, social justice litigation, and strengthening access to justice at the trial court level.
